We recently released a feedback form for users who are using Lumiun DNS , with the aim of understanding our target audience. Today, we're going to share with you some of the most valuable insights we gained from these responses.
But first, let's explain a little about this product, which was our latest launch.

Lumiun Lumiun DNS is an internet security and access control solution that helps organizations protect their networks and devices against online threats and manage access to inappropriate content. With Lumiun DNS , you can apply custom filtering policies, block harmful websites, and monitor browsing activity in real time. Our platform is designed to be easy to install and use, providing an additional layer of security and control for businesses of all sizes.
Impressive Lumiun DNS Numbers
Since its launch until the date of publication of this article, Lumiun DNS has achieved important results, standing out for its wide adoption and effectiveness. Check out some of the numbers that demonstrate the authority and impact of our service:
- 2582 organizations created their accounts and went through initial onboarding, registering organization data, creating locations and applying filters through policies.
- 3835 users with verified email accounts.
- 2757 locations created, including:
- 1604 routers ( MikroTik , TP-Link, Intelbras, Cisco, among others)
- 504 computers (Windows, Linux, Mac, Chromebook)
- 371 firewalls ( pfSense , OPNsense , Fortinet, Sophos)

- 28436 filters activated, with the top 10 being:
- Basic protection
- Block child sexual abuse content
- Adult Content Blocking
- Bing SafeSearch
- Block betting and gambling sites
- Piracy Blocking
- AdBlock – Block ads and trackers
- Google SafeSearch
- Block parked domains
- Free Fire
- More than 868 million DNS requests filtered in May (2024), with a daily average of approximately 28 million requests.
- 10% of these requests , around 2.8 million per day , were blocks of unwanted content.
- This year (2024), more than 4.7 billion requests were filtered, with 523 million blocked , representing 11% of total requests.
An important note is that we are only considering user accounts that have completed onboarding and verified their email. In the request numbers above, we are only counting those that received analysis and filtering from our service. When an organization exceeds its plan's request volume limit, Lumiun DNS stops filtering.
And now, let’s get to the insights from the feedback form responses.
Ease and Speed of Installation
One of the first impressions our users have of Lumiun DNS is during the installation process. We were very pleased to learn that 96% of users found the installation “Very easy” or “Easy”. Additionally, 98% reported that the installation was “Very quick” or “Quick”. These numbers demonstrate that we are on the right track in terms of usability and initial user experience and prove that we are offering Internet Security and Control in 7 Minutes (or less).
User-friendly Interface and Effective Support
Lumiun DNS interface . Fortunately, 98% of users considered the interface “Very friendly” or “Friendly”. However, we know that user experience goes beyond the interface – technical support is also essential. Half of users ( 51% ) found our support “Very useful”, and another 24% considered it “Useful”, which motivates us to continue offering quality support.
Security and Content Blocking
When it comes to internet security, 93% of our users found Lumiun DNS to be “Very successful” or “Successful”. Blocking adult content also received positive reviews, with 87.2% of users considering the service effective in this regard. These results reinforce our commitment to the security and digital well-being of our users.
General Satisfaction and Recommendations
The overall satisfaction of our users is also something that makes us very happy. Almost half ( 49% ) of respondents are “Very satisfied” with Lumiun DNS , while 46% are “Satisfied”. When asked how likely they are to recommend our service to friends and colleagues, the average response was 9 on a scale of 0 to 10, showing that we are earning the trust of our users.
Suggestions for Improvements
Of course, there is always room for improvement. Some common suggestions include:
- Improve compatibility with specific devices and networks.
- We offer integration compatibility with devices that make DNS requests via DNS53, DoH and DoT. In addition, we have dozens of guides with installation instructions for the main firewalls, routers, servers, browsers, operating systems, among others.
- Improve administration interface and detailed reports.
- We have several features in development to offer more reports and valuable insights into user navigation. A very important point that we have already optimized was the speed and performance of generating reports. Today, our users can view statistics for up to 60 days in a few seconds.
- Implement support for IPv6.
- Now available, with dual-stack option.
- Adjustments to content blocking to avoid false positives.
- White label for MSP partners.
