The Liga Insights IT Startups study, carried out by Liga Ventures with support from Ibmec and Astella Investimentos, positioned Lumiun as one of the 117 startups that are changing IT in Brazil. The report shows an overview of Brazilian startups that are developing innovative solutions for the IT area. 10,085 startups were analyzed and Lumiun was among the 14 selected in the Security, Fraud and Validations category.

According to a survey by Brasscom , the forecast is that investments in the area of Information Security, for the period from 2018 to 2021, will grow by 12% per year, reaching R$22.8 billion. The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector accounted for 7.1% of GDP in 2017.
The study published by Liga Ventures also mentions data from other important ICT reports:
- In the survey of IDC Brazil forecasts for 2018 , 63% of the companies interviewed stated that they increased the budget allocated to security. According to the forecast, investments in security should grow in Brazil by around 9% in 2018.
- Analysis by Gartner consultancy estimates that investments in cybersecurity, globally, could reach US$96 billion in 2018, 8% more than the previous year. Of this amount, US$17 billion was allocated to infrastructure protection and US$57 billion was allocated to security services.
- Cisco's worldwide study ( Cisco 2018 Annual Cybersecurity Report ) found that 53% of attacks resulted in financial losses worth more than US$500,000, relating to the loss of customers, revenue and opportunities.
